Love Will Heal

Love Will Heal

In times of change, uncertainty and maybe even fear…we are reminded of the delicacy of life.

Like a small seedling, we grow, blossom into a flower, and then fall. Curling back down into the earth…waiting…to go through the whole process again.

Everything in life is ruled by this natural ebb and flow. Cycles of death and rebirth. Highs and lows. Yin and Yang.

When we hold onto a certain point on the natural curve of life’s graph…we suffer. When we attach to the outcome, to an expectation…we suffer.

So, in this time of uncertainty (no matter what your opinion is) recognize that we do not have control over the ebb and flow of life. No matter how hard we try. It is managed by something much larger than us. Something beyond our highest realizations. This makes life seem delicate, fleeting, uneasy. However, we do have control over one thing; how we show up.

How do we show up when uncertainty or fear comes knocking at our doors? Do we hide? Do we become angry? Do we judge? Do we hurt? Or do we choose love? Do we choose kindness and compassion?

As the Buddha once said “Hatred never ends by hatred but by love alone is healed. This is the ancient and eternal law.”

If you can do one thing today, hug someone you love. Tell them how much you love them. If today was the last day you could see them, how would you express your deepest love and gratitude? When you go outside today, smile at a stranger. Commit a random act of kindness. Light up the world with the light of your love. It is all you can control. And it deserves to be spread. It needs to be spread…now more than ever.

With love and eternal light.
