Soothing Scalp & Hair Growth Oil

Soothing Scalp & Hair Growth Oil
Scalp massage is a common Ayurvedic practice that is known to support vata imbalances. Massaging the scalp with oil and letting it rest before washing it out can support the reduction of the fluctuations of the mind, promote deep sleep, nourish the hair follicles, reduce dry scalp and flaking, promote hair growth, and reduce premature greying.
I formulated the Soothing Scalp & Hair Growth oil after experiencing postpartum hair loss. I infused organic olive oil with rosemary which is known to bolster hair growth. Then added a touch of peppermint essential oil for its lovely smell and relaxing sensation on the scalp.
To use: part the hair and run the oil down the partition using the dropper. Do this throughout the scalp, covering as much of the head as possible. Massage the oil into the scalp using the fingertips for ~5 minutes. If you have dry ends, run your fingers with the oil to the bottom of your hair as well. Then let the oil rest on the head for a minimum of 1 hour. You can wear a hat or shower cap to prevent the oil from transferring elsewhere. Wash the oil out with shampoo. If you have oily hair naturally, you may need to shampoo twice. If done a few hours before bed, it can promote a deeper night sleep.
**Note: keep oil away from the eyes.
